It would seem that the difficult thing is to follow the rules of the road? Green - traffic is allowed. Red is not allowed. However, there are always those who will violate the traffic rules. And if hundreds of chambers and policemen fighting fines compete with drivers, it is more difficult to cope with pedestrians. But the Chinese authorities came up with a rather original and effective way: a special robot watered violators with water.
The innovative method was invented by policemen from Daiye City (Hubei Province). According to the publication of China Daily, the system is installed on one of the largest urban pedestrian crossings. When the green light comes on, the robot tells pedestrians that you can start moving, but you need to do this as soon as possible and remember about safety. Also, the robot warns that otherwise the pedestrian will be drained with water.
But at the moment when the pedestrian tries to run across the road to the prohibiting signal of a traffic light, the automatic system sprinkles it with water. And the first time a person "gets" at the time of access to the roadway, and the second time - when he goes back to the sidewalk. Moreover, the "robot-policeman" has a camera that fixes the offender and charges him with a fine. City authorities are pleased with the result and want to install such robots and other city transitions. By the way, the cost of equipment for one pedestrian crossing is 200 000 US dollars.
