The jury in the court room of the Dallas Court of Texas rendered their verdict in the case of ZeniMax vs. Oculus just hours ago. According to their decision, the management of the company Oculus is obliged to pay ZeniMax a penalty of $ 500 million. It was also announced that Palmer Lucky (the founder of Oculus) violated a certain document on the non-disclosure of classified information, but he did not copy, steal or use any technologies belonging to ZeniMax when creating the Oculus Rift headset.

Oculus will be obliged to pay ZeniMax $ 200 million for violation of the non-disclosure document, as well as $ 50 million for copyright infringement (it is not clear what rights are involved if Palmer Lucky seems to have stolen nothing), $ 50 million must be paid personally Lucky, as well as $ 150 million from former director Oculus VR Brendan Iribe for misleading using deliberately false descriptions of products and services. It was here that the lawyers of ZeniMax remembered that one day their engineer John Carmack moved to work in Oculus, and they decided to blame him for all the hard ones. It seems that the jury knew perfectly well that one company is trying to earn money on another, so they did not satisfy the plaintiff's demands in full.
