Sberbank tested the delivery of bank cards with drones

Courier delivery by drones is a very promising and modern direction. Many large companies are now working on the development of infrastructure for unmanned aerial vehicles and are funding various developments in this field. It turns out that Sberbank also did not stand aside and tested the delivery of bank cards to its customers with the help of drones.

At a meeting organized by the bank, dedicated to block system systems, Dmitry Bulychkov, project director of the Center for Technological Innovations of Sberbank, asked if the bank is going to use drones.

"We had such a pilot - drones delivered cards," he briefly told reporters.

Later, a bank employee explained that a year and a half ago, Sberbank tested such technologies in order to study the possibility of delivering banking products. It was recognized that mass replication of this service is impossible now and then. The press service of Sberbank also explained that at the moment the bank does not consider the possibility of introducing such a service seriously. At least now there is no need for it.

The intentions to use drones for delivery were also reported in the "Post of Russia". It is expected that the first tests of drones-postmen will begin in the spring of 2017.
