The construction of an archipelago of artificial islands is planned to begin in 2019

The Institute systematic together with the Government of French Polynesia, began to develop a project within which it is planned to create an archipelago of islands of artificial origin that are not part of the jurisdiction of any country. Independent island states can become a haven for large IT companies striving for complete independence.

The Institute is founded by Silicon Valley billionaires, many of whom are businessmen, including Peter Til, head of PayPal. Representatives of the Institute of Systeming argue that such an archipelago can become the basis of a society of the future. Freedom, own governments, new homes for the disadvantaged and a lot of jobs all promise French Polynesia only a favor, but there are still many unresolved issues.

The first version of the project the parties intend to discuss at the end of 2018. If everything goes well, construction can begin as early as 2019. The preliminary cost of the project is estimated at 225 million US dollars, the annual maintenance of each island will cost about $ 8 million.
