Неизвестные науке обитатели Марианской впадины

The research apparatus Okeanos Explorer repeatedly descended into the dark depths of the Mariana Trench. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (NOAA) project allowed scientists to look where many submariners are afraid to go down even in the most reliable bathyscaphes. During his dives Okeanos Explorer made a lot of amazing photos and video recordings, which depicted unknown to the inhabitants of the ocean. We suggest you look at some of them.

Okeanos Explorer can operate smoothly at a depth of up to 6,000 meters. Of course, he can not reach the deepest point of the Mariana Trench, but even at such a depth, the researchers discovered an amazing underwater world full of fantastic creatures unknown to science. Lizards fish and transparent ghost fish, unusual corals and snake-tailed fish, rare intestinal marine animals, and this is just a small part of what was revealed before the eyes of researchers from NOAA. Some of the creatures did put them at a dead end, because scientists simply could not decide which species they belong to. We also invite you to take a look at these amazing shots taken in the depths of the Mariana Trench.

Scientists now have more questions than answers, but they are very encouraged by the data and hope that such dives will allow them to learn more about the mysterious underwater world. In May this year, NOAA specialists already published a video with an unusual luminescent jellyfish. We suggest you to read it too.
