During the AFI film festival last week, Ridley Scott notified the press that his new film would change its name to Alien: The Covenant. In preparation for the shooting of the film "Prometheus 2" the script has undergone a huge number of changes, and also changed several working titles. The words of the director confirmed the official Twitter-account of the studio 20th Century Fox, which, among other things, announced the release date of the picture on the big screen. The painting “Prometheus” was originally supposed to be a prequel to the very first “Alien” of 1979, however, in the process of long-suffering production, its script was constantly corresponded by different scriptwriters. The result was something not entirely clear, which none of the fans expected. However, some of the key elements of the franchise, including the mysterious alien race, known as "Engineers", were shown to viewers. We were also shown a distant ancestor of xenomorphs in one of its forms. It was felt in the picture and the legacy of the artist Hans Giger, although he was not directly involved in the filming. The open ending of "Prometheus" left the audience at a loss. It was completely incomprehensible what they just saw and what should be expected from the continuation of the film.

In the plot of the picture, the earthly ship-colony Covenant in a remote corner of the galaxy stumbles upon a completely unexplored world, which at first seems to be a real paradise for travelers. The only living person on the discovered planet turns out to be synthetics David, familiar to us from “Prometheus” (his role is played by actor Michael Fassbender).
