In the case of the LG fridge, you can send him a corresponding request via regular SMS, and he will show you his content remotely using the built-in wide-angle camera. A smart refrigerator can even keep track of the shelf life of products and recommend recipes to you depending on the ingredients in it.

Also, you can, for example, type the “start washing cycle” command - and your washing machine will begin to wash clothes. You can preheat your oven to the desired temperature on the way home or run a dishwasher. This service supports most of LG home appliances, which has the ability to connect to the Internet.

The most pleasant thing in this case is that you will not have to learn special commands. Household appliances will understand simple phrases made by you on the go. Of course, we are still talking only about Korean and English, but knowing the Koreans, they soon probably localize this service for other countries. You can simply ask the washing machine what it is doing - and it will intelligibly answer you what phase of the washing process is in.

At the beginning of April, Samsung also presented its vision of the “smart home” concept. The plans of Koreans to connect all home appliances to a special application Samsung Smart Home, through which a person can control them. The list of devices connected to the application included televisions, heaters, lighting equipment, and much, much more. There will also be support for voice control on an intuitive level.
