The British Broadcasting Corporation BBC has acquired its own hexacopter. An unmanned aerial vehicle with a camera on board will help journalists make more exciting reports. Now viewers will be able to look at events from different angles. The flying assistant was tested by the BBC correspondent Richard Vestscott.

Westcott was the first BBC journalist to report on a flying camera. The material was devoted to the project of building a high-speed railway connecting London with other major cities of the country.

Even windy weather could not prevent the shooting. Thanks to a special fixture, the camera was held in a fixed position. And this is despite the fact that the wind tossed the hexacopter as a feather.

Westcott admits that he has yet to learn how to manage the drone correctly. It takes time to aim and take a picture. The humming sound of rotating screws adds difficulty, says the journalist.

Despite all the difficulties, Westcott sees a lot of potential in flying cells:
