After comparing the effects that caffeine and blue light have on the brain, researchers at the University of Middle Sweden (Mid Sweden University) found similarities. People who were affected by the light of the blue spectrum and distracted at the time of the attention test showed better results than coffee lovers, writes the British newspaper Daily Mail.

Blue light and caffeine showed various effects on the psychomotor. Blue light can have a positive effect on cognitiveness, the study authors noted.

Blue light is able to activate the biological functions of the body, without adverse effects on living tissue. Therefore, it is widely used in medicine. Doctors from the Clinic at the University of Heidelberg, for example, have developed a blue-emitting medical patch.

Research suggests that blue light can help improve a person’s memory, attention and reaction. With it, you can also deal with bad breath. For the destruction of harmful bacteria contained in saliva, exposure to a lamp of the blue spectrum is sufficient for two minutes.

If this study compared the light with caffeine, then another study showed that the effect of blue light occurs at 50 seconds of exposure.
