Andrei Klimov, a Vimeo video hosting user, could have remained an unknown artist and designer of CG graphics from Naberezhnye Chelny, if he had not presented his first creation to the public - the stunning short animated movie Azarkant. According to the author himself, the creation of short films was inspired by fantastic films, as well as the cinematics from such famous artists as Blizzard and Blur studio. However, it seems to us that in addition to these sources of inspiration, the author was clearly fascinated by such a computer game like Halo, as well as the movie Prometheus.

From the author:

Hello. I want to present my short film Azarkant. Azarkant was made on pure enthusiasm in his spare time on a home computer. I have long dreamed of working on something in my favorite space fiction genre, but nothing like this is being filmed, and therefore I decided to do it myself. In the video you can find references to many Hollywood films, which I inspired and looked to the holes. Azarkant is made rather not as a short film, but as a small fragment of a large story.

A huge spaceship, lost on the edge of the universe, inside which everything is dead and has sunk into oblivion. People have long died, and no one will tell what happened here. Only the old robot, the pilot of which is also dead for a long time, continues to patrol endlessly the endless corridors and carry out the last command of its pilot. But one day the doors of the old spaceship open again ...
