New Year celebrated in Paris with Apple Store

On New Year's Eve, Apple's retail store in Paris was robbed by several unidentified people. The incident occurred right under the nose of the local police patrolling the Champs Elysees. It is reported that armed robbers carried goods worth about one million euros.

About 9 o'clock in the evening, three hours after the Apple Store was closed, four or five masked men broke through the back door, injured a security guard and immediately began to transfer goods from the warehouse to the van parked next to the store. The robbery lasted about 40 minutes.

The criminals managed to escape easily because they were provided with escape routes, and most of the law enforcement forces at that time were patrolling the Shanz-Elise highway, a source in the French police said.
