original

Microsoft and Nokia have announced the launch of a new application development center based in Finland. The center will be called Appcampus and two companies allocated $ 24 million for its construction.

Opening AppCampus will be held in May. It will be based on the territory of the Finnish Aalto University. This approach is aimed at attracting students, developers and volunteers to work with Windows Phone and Symbian platforms. Microsoft and Nokia hope that all this will eventually push the Windows Phone platform to active development.

Last week we reported that Windows Phone offers more than 70.000 different applications. The figure is insignificant when compared with the volumes offered by Android and iOS.
