Nintendo has announced that its Wii U console will be available in the US, Europe, Japan and Australia before the end of 2012, which means that we should wait for the prefix by the pre-New Year time.
This news was announced by Nintendo President Satoru Iwata. And this is the first officially confirmed information that the release of the Wii U will be held in 2012.
At the moment, there are still no full technical characteristics of the new console, but we know that the console will have a controller with a 6.2-inch touchscreen display, and the console itself will support the image format of 1080p.
The console will run on a multi-core processor based on IBM Power and an AMD Radeon-based graphics chip.
