Intel Sandy Bridge-E server chips have not yet reached retail, but this does not prevent the processor giant from preparing for the output of the Ivy Bridge-EP architecture receiver. The novelty includes up to 10 cores and will enter the market no earlier than 2013. Resource Hardcore Hardware has published an interesting screenshot that shows the results of testing the Ivy Bridge-EP / EX chip with the CPU-Z utility version 1.59.

According to information from the site Hardcore Hardware, the new product includes 10 cores that support Hyper-Threading technology, and working at 2.4 GHz. The voltage in this case is 1,016 V. The indicator of thermal power did not exceed the level of 95 W. The L3 cache is 25 MB. New features support for instruction set AVX and AES and virtualization VT-x. Thanks to the use of three-dimensional transistors Tri-Gate and 22-nm process technology, the energy efficiency of the Ivy Bridge-EP chips is twice as high as that of the Sandy Bridge-E processors.
